We’re proud winners of the Eco Tourism category in the 2012 Greater Sydney Tourism Awards, with the extra honour of being Highly Commended in both the Adventure Tourism, and Tour & Transport Operator categories.
These awards recognise excellence in the tourism industry with detailed award submissions carefully evaluated and scored by respected industry judges.
It’s the first time Royal Coast Walks has been recognised with a win at this level and means we’ll go through to the next stage as finalists at the NSW Tourism Awards, announced in November 2012.
Winners of the Greater Sydney Tourism Awards were announced on Thursday 19th July at the Gala Dinner held at Doltone House, Sylvania. It’s the first time Sutherland Shire Tourism has been honoured with hosting the event.
With many Shire businesses recognised as finalists and Highly Commended, there was plenty to celebrate, including for the winner of Heritage Tourism, Cronulla and National Park Ferries (the ferry is our favourite way to begin our Royal National Park walks).

Over 2 years ago I went on a 2 day, 1 night Sydney Coast Walk – I needed to clear my head from Sydney life and I loved it. I went on my own and as a girl I initially had hesitations but the Sydney Coast team were great and I had a fantastic time. Thank you and congratulations… You deserve all the best!
